Your application for jobs consists of two parts:
 
  1. 1.The part you will mail to the hiring department
  2. (i)Cover letter
  3. (ii)CV
  4. (iii)Writing Sample
  5. (iv)Optional: Statement of Future Research Plans
  6. (v)For hiring departments that emphasize teaching:
  7. a.Statement of Teaching Philosophy
  8. b.Teaching evaluations. Some think you should send all your evaluations so that it does not look as though you have simply picked the best ones
  9. 2.The part the Career Development Center (CDC) will mail to the hiring department
  10. (i)Dossier of Letters of reference (recommendations)
  11. •At least one of these should be a "teaching letter" that addresses your abilities as a teacher.
  12. (ii)CV
